Metamorphosis

This sculpture is a dynamic representation based on a study of a fruit. The revealing of structure that occured when the fruit was exposed to an external force was the inspiration for the final production.

The final model, comprised solely of paper straws and staples, is designed to turn inside out as each of its components are hinged together such that they are able to rotate 360 degrees continuously.
